Hivebotics

Nguyen Tuan Dung

Nguyen Tuan Dung graduated with First-Class Honors in Robotics Engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS). His journey in robotics began in 2015, winning the National Robotics Championship, which led him to represent Singapore in the world’s largest robotics competitions in 2016 and 2017. Dung’s passion for robotics flourished as he participated in various global competitions, eventually meeting Rishab in 2020. Together, they aimed to turn robotics passion into real-world solutions, leading to the development of an autonomous restroom cleaning robot in 2023.
Growing up in his father’s aerospace maintenance business, Dung gained expertise in high-end manufacturing and international logistics. Before Hivebotics, he applied these insights to establish a healthcare NGO in Nigeria, where he managed operational finance, supplements distribution, and local outreach initiatives. He also contributed to charity construction projects in Southeast Asia, personally helping build a bridge and two homes in rural Vietnam.
Outside of work, Dung enjoys hiking, cooking, playing guitar, and football, finding balance through these hobbies.

Rishab Patwari

Rishab Patwari is a distinguished graduate of the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and a second major in Innovation & Design. He also graduated from the NUS Overseas College Silicon Valley Program, Asia’s top entrepreneurship program, with specialized training in New Venture Development at Stanford University. The program has produced founders of unicorn companies like Carousell and Patsnap.
With over 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, Rishab has worked at Vida Health in Silicon Valley and Taskade, a Y Combinator S19 company. During this time, he developed multiple applications, including an HR Management platform for blue-collar workers, which he bootstrapped right out of university.
HiveBotics was born out of Rishab’s passion for solving real-world problems. The concept emerged when his Scout Leader shared the post-COVID labor shortage struggles of his cleaning business in Singapore. Rishab’s desire to create a solution for his mentor’s challenge led to the founding of HiveBotics, which aims to revolutionize cleaning with autonomous robots.
Rishab’s leadership extends to his 15 years of volunteering with the Boys Scout Movement, where he has held national leadership positions such as National Chairperson of the Rover Scout Section (18-26 age group). He also served in the Singapore Armed Forces as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant, where was part of a team leading over 100 soldiers, honing critical management and leadership skills. He is also trained in battlefield management and infantry warcraft at Specialist and Warrant Officer Institute.
